February, 2016. An automated Elekta Infinity radiotherapy system, along with a suite of radiation monitoring equipment, has been put into operation at the Ministry of Health treatment and rehabilitation centre.
PETRusCo Ltd has observed all requirements and met standards in the area of radiation protection, ensuring that the high-energy Elekta device could be installed on premises intended for low-energy equipment. Staff training was also organised by PETRusCo. Clinical dosimetry with the extraction of therapeutic energies, and radiotherapy beam modelling have recently been completed.
